Stories in this category are written within the accepted history of the show, sometimes with a few minor changes to suit my purposes, since no one is paying me to fix the show. Most of my stories are usually in this category as there are too many storylines that have promising beginnings only for the writers to take the easy way out at all times.
The stories have been divided into sections based on the Liason time period. All but two of the stories center Jason and Elizabeth, so if you’re looking a specific time period, this is a good way to do it. I’ve created empty sections for years I haven’t written yet mostly because I’m sure I will eventually. I’ve also included a few upcoming stories to flesh out some of the empty sections.
How Stories Are Listed
Title Summary. Will tell you time, place, and preview the central narrative conflict. Status: When is it coming? Is it here? If it’s done — when was it written? Earlier stories are a bit crunchier. Stories after 2006 are better, and more polished after 2014 |
1997-2000 | 2001 | 2002 | 2003 | 2004 | 2005 | 2006 | 2007-2009 | 2010-12 | 2013-2016 | 2017 – 2021 | 2022 – 2024
Stories Set in 1997 – 2000These stories are set between 1997 and 2000. At the moment, there are no stories that are published but a few that are in the pipeline. Stories set during this period would either be alternative versions of how Elizabeth moved to Port Charles (Kismet) or take place after their August 1999 meeting at Jake’s. They will also cover Jason’s return in the summer of 2000. |

Hits Different Set March 1996. Semi-Alternate Universe. Set 1996. Jason Quartermaine woke up from a coma without a single memory of his first twenty-four years. All he knows is that the family claiming to love him are so controlling and arrogant that escaping them is his top priority. But the Quartermaines won’t let him go without a fight. First, they cut off his access to a trust fund that’s supposed to be his. Then they get him fired from any job he can find. Just when he’s ready to sleep under the docks, he gets a job and a room at Luke’s where he meets the bar manager, Elizabeth, and learns just how many secrets are being kept from him. Status: Completed April 2024 |
|
Set in December 1997. Written for #GHWhoDunIt @ Liason Haven. Jason Morgan made a hasty decision to help out Carly Roberts when it seemed like the Quartermaines were threatening to take her unborn child away from her. He agreed to pretend to be the baby’s father until she gave birth and could leave town. Unfortunately, he didn’t do the math and now everyone thinks he cheated on ex-girlfriend, Robin Scorpio, including Elizabeth Webber, the nursing student he’s been flirting with for a few weeks. Carly is under her own pressure as former friend, Lorraine Miller, isn’t happy just covering up the paternity and keeping the truth about Carly’s past a secret. She’s demanding Carly pay up for the privilege of staying quiet. Tony Jones and AJ Quartermaine are demanding paternity tests and making threats, and everywhere Carly goes, it looks like someone is out to get her. She thought she had a chance to get Jason back when he agreed to help her, but nursing school rival Elizabeth is standing in her way. Everyone who knows Carly hates her. Just after midnight on New Year’s, Carly’s body is discovered in the hospital supply closet. Which of her many enemies sliced and diced her? And what will they do to cover it up? Status: Completed 2021 |

Kismet Set December 1997. Jason is the newly minted, inexperienced leader of the Port Charles underground. Elizabeth is the black sheep nursing student at General Hospital. They meet over the bleeding body of Nikolas Cassadine, the victim of a drive-by shooting at Luke’s Club that might have been targeted at Jason. When they both end up at the PCPD, arrested for simply breathing, the attraction between them is immediate. But life is never that simple in Port Charles, and Jason has a lot of baggage—an ex-girlfriend he might still be in love with, the ex-friend with benefits who is about to drag him into another crazy scheme, the woman his best friend stood up at the altar on his way out of town, and the controlling family still desperate to drag Jason back home at any cost. Can Elizabeth see past all of this drama and give Jason a chance? Or are there just one too many secrets to deal with? Status: Not yet Published |
|
Set December 1999. No one even knew they were friends until Nikolas Cassadine announced Jason and Elizabeth were sleeping together at the annual hospital Christmas Party, and now, suddenly everyone wants to weigh in on the subject. It’s not true, of course, but that’s never stopped Port Charles before. At first it’s amusing when her grandmother and his sister pass judgment, but things quickly get serious when Anthony Moreno’s body surfaces in the Port Charles harbor, and their fictional relationship might be Jason’s only chance to stay out jail. Elizabeth can alibi him, and after all, only Bobbie and Carly know he was shot. They’re not telling anyone, right? Until Carly decides she needs Jason’s help in yet another desperate scheme, and she’ll use any leverage at hand to make him dance her to her tune. Status: Completed November 2024 |
|
Once, they were nothing more than passing ships in the night, friends who shared the occasional meaningful conversation sitting on a bench on Elm St. Pier. But everything changed in December with a dance, a gunshot, and an adulterous one-night stand. Elizabeth found Jason in the snow, bleeding and nearly frozen, and dragged him back into the world of the living, one spoonful of soup at a time. Now there are no words for how they feel about each other. But the real world was always waiting outside to pop the bubble. It soon becomes clear that Jason’s future can’t be in Port Charles, but Elizabeth isn’t ready to give up on the home and family she’s built here. He can’t stay, but she can’t leave. He heads out of town with a bittersweet “see you later” but forgetting her will be even harder than leaving her. Status: Completed Januay 2023 |

Stories set in 2007-09While Jason and Elizabeth had a ton of interaction in 2007-09, I actually don’t have a lot of stories set during this period. In 2007, we had the Jake reveal, then in 2008, we had our Liason romance. 2009 is a low point as Jason and Elizabeth drift back to Sam, Lucky, and then Nikolas. I have a great story planned for the fall of 2008 and some ideas for 2007 coming up in flash fiction this fall. |

Stories Set 2010-2012This is the interim period as Guza’s strong decade on the show peters out in his final years. I wasn’t watching at all during this period, so I don’t have anything for Jake’s death. The one story that’s listed below starts in 2010, but picks up the show in 2008. I have a few short stories that will be here, and I’m working on a longer Flash Fiction that will eventually be here. Jason and Elizabeth don’t share a lot of scenes until Jake’s death, and then his divorce from Sam before he takes his infamous leap off the pier. |

Collect Your Regrets Set Fall 2012. After the water crisis passes over Port Charles, Jason and Elizabeth contemplate dating again, as they struggle with the death of their young son, Elizabeth’s fears, and the baggage Jason brings with him. Stories Set 2013-2016These are the peak Ron Carlivati years as well as the Jake Doe years. I have a few short stories from this era, and I mostly treat Jake Doe like he was actually Jason. I wasn’t watching in most of 2015 and 2016, so I don’t have a lot of stuff set in that period. This would take care of Liz’s relationships with AJ, Ric, and Jake Doe/Jason Morgan. |

Stories set 2017 – 2021Steve Burton returned as Jason, and I started watching again that fall. I have a handful of short stories, some ficlets, and a few novels planned for this section. Stories in this part deal with the return of Jason, the revelation of Drew Cain, and the abomination of Franco. Any stories written or set after Jason’s death in the fall of 2021 would go into a new category. (Not looking likely but miracles happen every day.) |
