Inspiration

This is based on a challenge in which you had to write a story inspired by lyrics from Dixie Chicks’ Travelin’ Soldier. I decided to set it in the WWII era.

So I like portions of this story, but I’m not quite sold on it either. Like another story, In the Family, I’m using the concept of Jason as a soldier at this point in Illusions, my on hiatus alternate universe story. It’s  a small contained world and I’ve contemplated rewriting the whole thing.

Timeline

So it’s an alternate universe, set in 1940s Port Charles.
