You’ve been directed to this page because a story you’re interested in reading has a Content Warning attached to it. This page is a work in progress. I’ve only recently started adding Content Warnings and am systematically going back to add them to older stories.
General Content Warning
The way I approach soap opera fan fiction is modeled on the period of writing that I grew up watching–particularly the way ABC Daytime wrote their shows in the mid to late 90s. The shows, particularly General Hospital, were grounded in reality and character-driven drama that tackled social issues like cancer, drug addiction, domestic violence, and rape. These topics are also in my story, in addition to mental illness and suicide.
I am working on specific trigger warnings, but be aware that the character I center in most of my stories is Elizabeth Webber, a rape and domestic abuse survivor so these themes are prevalent in much of my stories. In addition, I write a lot of Sonny Corinthos who has struggled with mental illness and Lucky Spencer, who has a past of drug addiction.
