Set in Fall 2003, shortly after Courtney becomes addicted to pain killers and hits Elizabeth with her car. This story is based on challenge in which Elizabeth becomes pregnant with Jason’s baby. I can’t remember now who set the challenge, so apologies for that.

I fell in love with Patrick and Robin literally from the moment I saw them, and my love remains strong. I have four characters on this show that can do no wrong — Elizabeth, Dillon, AJ, and Patrick. Patrick appears to be the only character the TPTB love as much as I do.
So North Star was my first attempt at a semi full-length Scrubs fic, but I didn’t quite have a handle on either of their characters, it meanders a bit but not in a bad way. My second attempt at a Scrubs story was much better: Sanctuary.
This story begins after Patrick and Robin have their first date in January of 2006, shortly before the virus story that killed Courtney. Which, I cannot state enough, was the one gift Guza came me in like seven years. I still celebrate February 20 as a personal holiday. Everything is should be self-explanatory.

So looking back at this story, I can’t quite remember why I was so angry at Jason when it was Elizabeth who kind of got the ball rolling on the paternity mess. I don’t know, I have a blind spot, I think. So I can’t tell you why I came up with this particular story other than I thought it was a way to make Sam a villain out making her evil.
I also knew that GH was going to screw up the Liason baby storyline. Of course, I didn’t know he was going to kill our baby, but hell, I should have seen that coming. I still believe Helena kidnapped him because he was thought to be Lucky’s son. You’ll never convince me otherwise. Anyway. So that’s my half-hearted attempt to explain the level of angst here.
This story begins in the fall of 2007, but it picks up in the winter–so that nothing after the hostage situation happened as it did on the show.

Shadows picks up shortly after the Port Charles Hotel fire in 2004. If you remember correctly, at first, Zander was assumed dead in the fire, murdered by a blow to the head, which it was revealed that Elizabeth had inflicted. This story assumes that first story was the truth, and deals with the fallout.
It’s been about ten years since this storyline (!) so here are the pertinent details to remember about the rest of the characters: Elizabeth is pregnant with Cameron, she is still married to Ric, having remarried after the panic room. Carly and Sonny are in the middle of a very bad divorce. Jason and Courtney’s marriage is over, for reasons I don’t remember because I mostly pretend Courtney stopped doing anything after 2002, so I can still like her. Emily and Nikolas are together.
AJ is still out of town, having left after divorcing Courtney. (Without Lydia and embezzling money, because the head writer at the time, Bob Guza, was a dick and that was a stupid storyline. I’m a sucker for AJ). I’ve aged Michael for two reasons: storyline purposes and the kid in the picture below is my younger version of the current Michael (not Chad Duell, but Jackson Bond, a blonde-haired, brown-eyed boy who looks a lot like him)
